Prepare for Next Year's Cold Season
Electric radiant heat isn’t just for heating floors. Snow melting systems can provide for safety as well as convenience. Driveway heating systems can take the drama out of your chilly, snowy mornings by keeping your driveway and sidewalks free of snow and ice all winter. Roof heating and gutter-melt systems can alleviate dangerous ice buildup and thwart potential damage to your roof and prevent injury to passersby from falling ice. In many places of the country, installing these systems is a no-brainer. Maintenance free, fully automated and customizable, electric snow melting systems are the way of the future. |
Five Reasons why you CAN win the Battle of the Blizzard this Winter Every winter it
happens. The snow piles up on the roof, and with the
snow, comes the icicles, and with the icicles, the ice
dams--those blasted ice dams that are the bane of
every home’s existence come wintertime. They
melt, they pool, they condense, and they wreak havoc on
your attic, costing you thousands of dollars in
expensive—and completely
avoidable—repairs. The good news is, you CAN win this battle. Ice dams don’t have to be your biggest opponent this winter, and I’ll tell you how: radiant heating. That’s right, it’s not just for driveways anymore. Radiant roof heating is the latest and greatest way for you to keep your roof snow- and ice-free this winter. The following list contains 5 valuable weapons radiant roof heating will arm you with this winter in your battle against the blizzard: 1. Easy Installation 2. Automation 3. Efficiency 4. Speed and Accuracy 5. Money in
the Bank They’re fast, they’re efficient, they’re fully automated, and best of all, radiant roof heating will put a little extra cash in your pocket. What more could you want? Install a radiant roof heating system in your home today and kick ice dams to the curb once and for all. |
Easy Driveway Snow RemovalEver wondered why snow seems to stick on some driveways and not others? Maybe the south driveways stay a little warmer due do sun radiating across the surface, but you've probably noticed that there are some driveways on the north facing side of the street that don’t have any snow on them at all. Chances are fairly good that the well-informed occupants of that house have installed a radiant driveway snow melting system. Just as radiant floor heating systems warm the surface of floors, snow melting systems radiate warmth under the surface of the driveway, resulting in a very clean, fully automated snow removal system. If you haven’t heard much about these radiant snowmelt systems, here’s a brief description. When the driveway is being formed, radiant heat cable is installed and then the finish surface is applied over that. ClearZone cable is a common heat cable mat system which has proven itself over the years to be among the best – if not THE best – radiant heat cable on the market. It is durable enough that fresh concrete or asphalt can be placed directly over the cable. Radiant heat can also be applied under brick and stone pavers. In addition to the grid of heat cable embedded in the driveway, an activation device (snow sensor) is also installed, either in the surface of the driveway or mounted in a location where it will detect weather conditions. (These are the components that replace your snow shovel and snow plow or salt.) When conditions are right for snow, the system is activated, applying current to the heat cable that radiates heat throughout the driveway surface. Snow removal has never been so easy. This can be an especially big plus for driveways with a fairly steep incline. Radiant snow melting systems can also be applied to existing asphalt driveways. Make life easy for yourself and install one before the next winter hits. You will be so glad you did. |
We are approaching the end of the snow
season but it isn’t quite here yet. But now is
the time to prepare for next year’s icy onslaught.
Take the stress and back pain out of your winters by
installing a radiant snow melting system. These
snowmelt systems come in many forms and are just what
the doctor ordered to cure the icy-white blues.
Electric radiant heat is a clean efficient way of
conquering Mother Nature’s fiercest icy storms.
